Chalet du Bastan is a large comfortable self catered chalet in the village of Barèges that sleeps up to 20 people. It is situated in the Domaine du Tourmalet ski area, the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees. It is also a perfect base from which to enjoy the varied walking the Pyrenees has to offer, including the famous GR10 route which spans the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, and passes through the village. The Tour de France goes right past the chalet door, and you can watch from the terrace as the riders pass, on their way to tackle the infamous Col du Tourmalet, 10 km further up the mountain. The chalet is available for both weekly and weekend periods throughout the year.
